About Joycelyn
I am passionate about safety! I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Jackson State University and my Master of Business Administration in Organizational Leadership from Ashford University. After several years in the insurance industry, my career pivoted, and I became the Safety Coordinator at the City of Jackson, Mississippi. I developed and facilitated safety training and investigated safety issues/concerns in this role. My thirst for knowledge and additional training led me to attend classes offered by ICWUC in 2016. In October 2022, I attended a Train-the-Train course and became a peer trainer with ICWUC. This opportunity allowed me to do what I love: teach people how to work and live safely. I was hired as a full-time Instructor in January 2025.
