Luis earned a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Michigan. Prior to joining the ICWUC Training Center, Luis worked for nearly 22 years as Project Industrial Hygienist and Project Coordinator for the NIEHS grant awarded to the United Auto Workers Health & Safety Department in Detroit, MI. Before that, Luis spent ten years working as a registered Radiologic Technologist. Luis maintains a membership in the National Writers Union (UAW Local 1981) and writes song lyrics in addition to grant applications and annual grant reports, newsletter articles, various health and safety curricula, and site visit reports.
